Custom Tailored Lawn Program

During the first visit in early spring, we apply the first round of fertilizer to help the turf wake up as well as a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent crabgrass and other broadleaf weeds from germinating. At this time, we will spot treat any actively growing weeds with a liquid post-emergent herbicide.

Middle-Late Spring we apply the second round of fertilizer and pre-emergent herbicide. Actively growing weeds are treated if present.

Late Spring-Early Summer we put down fertilizer to strengthen the turf and encourage root growth for the hot summer months ahead. Actively growing weeds are treated if present. Homeowner watering practices will become important as temperatures increase.

Once hot summer temperatures begin to cool off, your turf will be ready for round four.

No Overseed:

• The final round of pre-emergent herbicide will be applied along with fertilizer to help the. Actively growing weeds will be treated if present. 

Overseed:

• We will seed your lawn using blue tag certified grass seed containing the best cultivars on the market. We will also put down fertilizer to help the new grass establish. No herbicides will be used during this visit to avoid damaging seedlings.

Mid Fall during our final visit we will put down slow-release fertilizer to keep the lawn green for the remainder of the growing season. We will also treat any actively growing weeds.
