Overseeding

Why Overseed?

We recommend doing an overseed if there are any bare spots in your lawn, if you want a thicker lawn, or if you would like to introduce modern, elite cultivars to your turf.

Only Blue Tag Certified

Blue tag certified seed is the gold standard in the seed industry. Blue tag certification ensures authenticity of the cultivars used.

Elite Cultivars

We used the latest and greatest cultivars, highly rated for drought, shade, and disease resistance in the northeast.

Aerate

If deemed necessary, we will aerate your soil using an aerator prior to overseed. This will effectively reduce soil compaction, allowing water and nutrients to more easily reach the grass roots.

Slit Seeder

If aeration is deemed unnecessary, we will instead operate a slit seeder during overseed. A slit seeder cuts grooves into the soil before dropping seed, increasing seed to soil contact and therefore germination rates.
